PO-01-195 PHENOTYPING PERSISTENT AF WITH ELECTROGRAPHIC FLOW MAPPING

چکیده

There is broad consensus that differentiating AF into the categories of “paroxysmal AF” vs “persistent (PerAF)” “LS-PerAF” a relatively crude means to differentiate types. Clearly, there pressing need for better strategies phenotype AF. Electrographic Flow (EGF) mapping designed identify not only active sources excitation, but also estimate consistency observed atrial wavefront propagation. flow (EGFC) computed from Euclidean length vector field estimates over time and may provide additional insight an individual patient’s fibrillation (AF) disease in combination with EGF-identified enable phenotyping PerAF patients. To 1) determine relationship between EGFC recurrence, 2) propose framework treatment prognosis based on functional mechanisms as described by EGF. In randomized FLOW-AF trial, patients prospectively underwent PVI subsequent EGF-guided source ablation all cases when such were identified, PVI-only no seen. each patient, series 1-min EGF recordings taken multiple locations per atrium post-PVI pre- any adjunctive or ablation. Mean these averaged basket position averages overall across locations. A decision tree classifier was employed optimal splitting point below which scores more commonly associated recurrence within 12 months. Per FLOW-AF’s design, divided (n=32) above threshold (n=21). The identified 0.63 least common most common. Patients high had 100% (10/10) freedom (FFAF); at 1 ablated 88% (7/8) FFAF; low 50% (11/22) 46% (6/13) FFAF. Using algorithms detect presence AF, clinically heterogeneous population can be stratified distinct phenotypes guide minimum-required strategy, post-ablation prognosis. larger prognostication study warranted.

AF Termination: the Holy Grail of Persistent AF Ablation?

The optimal catheter ablation approach for longstanding persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) remains elusive despite significant advances made in our understanding of this arrhythmia. A recent systematic review highlighted the significant variation in procedural success rate both within and between techniques, necessitating repeat ablation procedures and anti-arrhythmic drugs to achieve improved...

flowType: Phenotyping Flow Cytometry Assays

2 Introduction This document demonstrates the functionality of the flowType package for phenotyping FCM assays. flowType uses a simple threshold, Kmeans, flowMeans or flowClust to partition every channel to a positive and a negative cell population. These partitions are then combined to generate a set of multi-dimensional phenotypes. For more details on how this package can be used in a complet...

Frequencies of HLA-E*01:01/*01:03 Alleles in an Iranian Healthy Population and Its Comparison with Hyperglycemia Patients

Background and Aims: The human leukocyte antigen-E (HLA-E) is a member of non-classical HLA class-I genes which is highly conserved through evolution. In general, so far 25 alleles of HLA-E have been described. However, the existence of only two allelic group; HLA-E*01:01 and HLA-E*01:03 have been demonstrated in all the populations. HLA-E*01:01 and HLA-E*01:03 differ only at codon 107 of exon ...

Evaluation of diastolic blood flow dynamic of the left ventricle in dogs with mitral valve regurgitation using vector flow mapping

Mitral valve regurgitation (MVR) is a common valvular disease in dogs. Hydrokinetic evaluation of the blood flow within the ventricles has become possible by vector flow mapping (VFM), which shows the blood flow within the ventricles in vector and vortex flows. Blood flow within the left ventricle of MVR dogs was compared at different stages of MVR and to that of normal dogs. 14 normal dogs and...

Left Atrial Appendage Isolation in Patients With Longstanding Persistent AF Undergoing Catheter Ablation: BELIEF Trial.

BACKGROUND Longstanding persistent (LSP) atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most challenging type of AF. In addition to pulmonary vein isolation, substrate modification and triggers ablation have been reported to improve freedom from AF in patients with LSPAF. OBJECTIVES This study sought to assess whether the empirical electrical isolation of the left atrial appendage (LAA) could improve succes...
